Composition of Refined Avocado Oil:

  • Polyunsaturated essential fatty acids or vitamin F.
  • Omega-6 linoleic acid: (7.49%)
  • Monounsaturated fatty acids: oleic acid (55.17%), palmitoleic acid (4.15%)
  • Saturated fatty acids: palmitic acid (13.80%)
  • Oleic acid is the most abundant in avocado oil. These monounsaturated fatty acids leave skin supple, soft and radiant.
  • Sterols: with healing and repairing action, reduce inflammation.
  • Unsaponifiables (2 to 10%) including:
  • Tocopherols (vitamin E) and tocotrienols: act as natural antioxidants.
  • Carotenoids (including beta-carotene): responsible for skin color, with antioxidant, photoprotective and healthy-glow action.
  • Phytosterols (including beta-sitosterol): improve the skin's barrier function and microcirculation, slow skin aging, have anti-inflammatory activity and protect against UV rays.

Product preservation:

  • Store in an airtight, tinted glass container, away from direct light.
  • Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to heat or light, as this may alter its quality.
  • Use clean, dry instruments to avoid contamination.
  • Close container tightly after use to prevent oxidation and extend shelf life.

Extraction procedure

  • One process involves dehydrating avocado shavings by heating and extracting the oil by pressure or solvent.
  • The second method, centrifuging the pulp, enables extraction at low temperature, thus preserving the oil's qualities. The result is a clear, bright green oil with remarkable characteristics.
  • The best quality is obtained from avocados harvested when ripe and processed into oil immediately on the spot to prevent browning and acidity. Around 10 kg of avocados are needed to obtain 1 liter of oil.
