With its sweet, sparkling aroma, Mandarin essential oil is perfect for homemade soaps and hair care products. Its natural fragrance remains stable even after cold saponification, making it a popular ingredient in DIY formulations.

Use in cold saponification

This oil doesn't precipitate the trace and makes soap paste easier to work with. Its fruity fragrance blends ideally with other scents such as Lavender for a floral ambience, or Cedar for a more woody contrast.

Preparation tips :

• Recommended dosage: Up to 3% of the total weight of the oils (e.g. 9 g for 300 g of oils).
• Dosage for Melt and Pour soap bases: 10 drops per 100 gr.
• Scent fixation: Incorporating 5% white clay into the oils before the soda solution improves texture and prolongs fragrance.

Hair care applications - Solid shampoos and home care

This essential oil can also be added to your solid shampoos for an invigorating fragrance. It complements other natural extracts in customized formulations.

Example of use:

• 20 drops per 100 g of hair base (SCI or Melt and Pour).
